Class Descriptions and Levels

Beginner Yoga – With a welcoming atmosphere this is the perfect place to take your first class and experience yoga! You will be introduced to basic hatha yoga poses to start your practice and will find this class both relaxing and enlightening.  Always taught by beginner-friendly instructors you will be surrounded by others who are starting out just like you! Level: Beginner to Intermediate.

Beginner Vinyasa Yoga – Yoga is for Every Body! Learn the foundations of vinyasa, or flow-based yoga, so you can begin to experience its transformational effects. You’ll learn and practice the series of poses called Sun Salutations, which is at the core of any vinyasa-style yoga practice. Explore proper alignment and breathing while developing strength, flexibility, and balance in a supportive and welcoming environment. This class is great preparation for the Hatha Yoga Flow and Vinyasa Flow classes. Level: Beginner to Intermediate.

All Level Hatha Yoga – This class moves at a slower pace than a Vinyasa Flow class and will help you build a good foundation in basic hatha yoga postures and yoga terminology. This is also great preparation for those who wish to move on to the Hatha Yoga Flow or Vinyasa Flow classes. Level: Beginner to Intermediate.

Hatha Yoga Flow– Links the postures practiced in a regular Hatha class into a sequence of movements that “flow” with the breath. Variations on the Sun Salutation are often used as a warm-up followed by a standing sequence, balancing poses and then seated poses. As in all classes, relaxation (Shavasana) ends the class. Hatha Yoga Flow is recommended for students who have practiced Hatha yoga and are interested in exploring a more movement-oriented class. Flow-based Hatha yoga builds strength, endurance, and a strong focus. Modifications are offered if you are just getting started. Level: Advanced beginner to Intermediate.

Vinyasa Foundations – Emphasizing breath and body alignment, this Vinyasa class will improve strength, stamina, and flexibility while having fun in the flow. Creativity in sequencing assures this is never the same class twice. Some experience with basic yoga poses is recommended but not required. Modifications and options are offered based on the needs of the class. Level: Advanced Beginner to intermediate/advanced.

Hot Vinyasa Yoga – A powerful Vinyasa flow class with the room heated to the mid-80s. A vigorous, eclectic blend of flowing postures this class will improve strength, stamina and flexibility. Discover how quickly your body will become more flexible, relaxed and be able to move more freely! Come prepared to sweat! Recommended for students with yoga experience and a good foundation in basic yoga asanas. Level: Advanced Beginner to intermediate/advanced.

Vinyasa Flow – Energizing sun salutations and creative and challenging flow sequences are emphasized in this class. Linking your movement and breath connects your mind, body and spirit while creating a moving meditation in a relaxed and welcoming environment. A variety of pose options are offered based on the needs of the class. The room is kept warm (about 75-78 degrees) to enhance the effects. Level: advanced beginners to intermediate/advanced.

Yin Yoga – This class will deepen and enhance flexibility at the core of your body-specifically the hips, pelvis, and lower spine. Using long-held poses this is a meditative class that moves at a slower pace.  This class is great for the newer student to the advanced yogi–also a great class for athletes. Level: beginner to advanced.

Candle Light Hatha – A great way to end a stressful work week…candles combined with soothing music create a wonderful ambience and the ultimate atmosphere to relax and let go. In this all level class yoga postures will help you calm and focus the mind, release stress and tension and become open to relax deeply at the end of class. Level: beginner to advanced.

Pilates Fusion – A 60-minute class that emphasizes core strength and stability by fusing Pilates & yoga techniques. This class incorporates principles of concentration, precision, control, breathing, and flowing movements, and is suitable for all levels. The use of rings and other equipment ensures a unique and invigorating class every time. All levels.

Pilates Core Plus –  A 60-minute class of core strengthening with full body toning using resistance bands, rings, weighted exercise balls and  your own body! You will strengthen your core and sculpt your physique using all your muscle groups with precise, energetic and flowing movements. All levels.
